October 2018, Crystal’s grandmother Mary had surgery to remove a tumor on her pancreas. Crystal sit next to her grandmother and lovingly colored her a mermaid. The drawing is intricately entwined with vibrant pastel colors. She signed the art with a note “to the prettiest grandma in the world! Love Crystal
Color pencil drawings was a hobby they loved and shared together. To honor the love and bond between Crystal and her grandmother, a series of greeting cards, journals and gifts have been made from the art print of the mermaid. Every card that is mailed is symbolic of their love and unbreakable bond. Crystal Expressions cards are designed to continue her legacy and share the timeless bond of love.

Crystal’s first ballet performance was a dance from Mexico presented by the St. Augustine Academy of Dance Arts. The performance was in 1992, the ‘Applause 92’ spring dance was held at Kirk Auditorium, Florida School for the Death and Blind. Crystal was 7 years old in the 2nd grade at Hartley Elementary School.
