“Hope” is the thing with feathers

BY EMILY DICKINSON
“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -

And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -

I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

“Unforgivably Herself” a poem

Crystal Michelle Fallin, The Bahamas

In this time, and in this place,

She was unforgivably herself,

Full of flaws, beauty, chaos

And imperfections,

For those things are what

Made her real in this world,

And the things that are real

In this world are the things

That are loved the most…

“I wondered lonely as a Cloud” by William Wordsworth - “She Dances with the Daffodils”

Dancing with the daffodils

Crystal Michelle Fallin, Artist, Dancer, Writer, Free Spirit

I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Marineland, Florida - Seashells on the Sand

Crystal Michelle Fallin, Marineland Beach, Florida
October 2010

Seashells on the Sand

“The tide recedes, but leaves behind bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down, but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops, yet echoes on in sweet, soulful refrains. For every joy that passes, something beautiful remains.”

Song for Athene

Song for Athene

Alleluia. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
Alleluia. Remember me, O Lord, when you come into your kingdom.
Alleluia. Give rest, O Lord, to your handmaid who has fallen asleep.
Alleluia. The Choir of Saints have found the well-spring of life and door of paradise.
Alleluia. Life: a shadow and a dream.
Alleluia. Weeping at the grave creates the song:

“Angel Flying too close to the Ground”

Crystal Michelle Fallin

 If you had not have fallen

Then I would not have found youAngel flying too close to the ground
And I patched up your broken wingAnd hung around a whileTryin' to keep your spirits upAnd your fever down
I knew someday that you would fly awayFor love's the greatest healer to be foundSo leave me if you need to, I will still rememberAngel flying too close to the ground
Fly on, fly on past the speed of soundI'd rather see you up than see you downSo leave me if you need to, I will still rememberMy angel flying too close to the ground
Leave me if you need to, I will still rememberMy angel flying too close to the ground

“Rejoice in the Dance”

Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy; I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.

You are near,

Even if I don’t see you.

You are with me,

Even if you are far away.

You are in my heart,

In my thoughts,

In my life,

Always.

“Lovely” A Poem

All that made you
 fragile and fierce;
clever and powerful;
wounded and creative;
layered and thoughtful;
moody and insightful;
wild and damaged,
Can be described in
One single word:

Lovely…

“A Soul who knew how to Dance”

 She always had that way about her.

With a heart that knew depths

Beyond this world, eyes that saw

The beauty in all things and a

Soul that just knew how to dance.
